Salmon Recovery
The Salmon Recovery program at the Skagit River System Cooperative provides the technical analysis for tribal and state fisheries managers used to negotiate annual salmon fishing plans and long-term salmon recovery and management plans. This is accomplished by developing and negotiating annual forecasted abundances of Skagit River system salmonids. Salmon Recovery also proposes and oversees the research needed to develop these plans and responds to public misconceptions about Indian fishing.
